Turned cartons above empty strips

I want the carton bottoms in our UR5e layer review, because the alternating top view hides two turned positions above gaps and the tool supplier's section seems to assume solid support everywhere; packaging has already identified the support direction, so this is about whether the proposed arrangement actually provides it.

Is packaging looking at that same section?

Not until I sent it to them; they had the carton specification and a top view, which explains why nobody mentioned the gaps.

We settled one bad proposal with the filled carton and two layer sketches on a bench. Get packaging and tooling together before paying for a revised finger set.

Does the section include the short-order ending? That was missing from our first packaging review.

Thomas, did your bench comparison reject the pattern or the tool?

The pattern. Changing fingers could not give the carton support where the lower layer had none. We then compared a different arrangement and its handling work.

Our joint review also rejected the turned arrangement, Grace; Amara, the short-order ending is on the revised brief, and dispatch is comparing straight rows with the extra pallets they would need.

Has dispatch included where those extra pallets wait, Luca? More pallet changes can mean more walking even if the row itself is easier.

Yes, and that is still being argued over because the proposed waiting position blocks a cupboard; the original pattern is out, but we have not chosen the straight-row layout yet.
