I've stopped calling this tray movement. Side footage shows the spacer tilt as the fingers close, while the tray stays still. We've saved the pickup edits and paused further tweaks. What should maintenance compare before we teach another crooked pickup that happens to work?
The new side view shows it settled on the intended tray contacts before closure. Maintenance has the actual tray drawing and retained spacer. The tilt starts when the near finger touches
Can maintenance identify the fitted finger pair and compare their actual contact faces, including how they sit on the carriers? Matching outer labels won't show an uneven repaired face.
And keep the saved pickup changes tied to that physical setup. If tooling changes while controls keeps the latest compensation, you can make a sound repair look like another fault.

Then compare the complete fitted arrangement after the agreed correction, not just whether the fingers have the right names; that little inherited part has been changing where one contact face arrives
Does the cover technician have a clear way to tell those arrangements apart during changeover now? I'd rather answer that before the same spacer becomes a mysterious extra part in the drawer.
Tooling has supplied separate assembly views with the spacer identified only on the other job. Cover technician is reviewing them. We have a correction proposal, but no completed transfer check yet
Keep that last distinction in the shift note. The cause looks well supported, but the combined tool and pickup setup still needs its return check before anyone celebrates by loading the next batch.
