Our FR5 layer makes the carton bearing edges bridge finger channels; can packaging and tooling review the actual filled case through placement and release before I accept the pattern just because the rectangles fit?

Put the current packaging construction reference on that section as well as the product code, then show the lower layer and the complete fingers leaving; a shared product label can conceal a handling-relevant packaging change.
