How do I establish the faceplate condition behind our FR10 images?

Our planned FR10 faceplate inspection has bright streaks moving between small presentation changes. The folder calls them scratches. How should I establish physical references and controlled imaging before threshold tuning?

Start with identified faceplates and the acceptance owner's physical decisions, including a confirmed scratch and acceptable difficult surfaces. Then compare controlled imaging changes. I've had to remove a misleading crop from a working set while keeping the accepted source plate and original frame as history.

Quality has agreed to examine the retained faceplates. I've linked originals to part identities and separated the unverified labels. No revised reference judgements back yet.

Once those decisions return, include taking the plates out and reseating them under the intended method. Repeated pictures from one lucky seat won't address your presentation variation, and a view that hides the confirmed scratch must not win merely because it looks clean.
