Why does our FR10 selection drawing leave out the loaded gripper?

Planning 161 short steel blanks beside an enclosed mill. The reach sketch finds the fixture but has no gripper body or open door. What geometry should the supplier review before I use this drawing to choose the arm?

Get the entire loaded tool into it first: adapter, gripper, fingers, fittings and blank. Then add the measured door position and the opening sequence. The wrist reaching a dot is the easiest part of this argument.

The gripper designer has an assembly model. Our layout supplier only got the finger drawing. I can fix that handoff, but we still need the machine owner's measured door position.

I'd invite the setter to that door survey. They can show where fixture changes and cleaning happen before somebody fills the only useful standing space with a base.

A full-size outline can expose an obvious clash before a detailed motion study.

Yes, Priya, provided nobody promotes a clear outline into approval of the whole route. I'd use it to find the expensive questions early.

Agreed. Include the held blank; an empty gripper outline answers a different question.

The setter showed us that the proposed base occupies part of the fixture trolley's turning space. We have not chosen another position. Door and loaded-tool information are going into the revised layout review together.

That's a real constraint the reach sketch couldn't tell you about. Keep the trolley turn shown, not just the parked trolley rectangle; otherwise it has a habit of shrinking back into free space.

Has the complete tool been checked at the fixture opening yet, Ada?
