I've been given a steel-blank loading point to teach from. No gripper or working door shown. Layout first, surely?

We once used an early sketch in an operator lesson and it became the expected arrangement long after the design changed. Mark this one provisional and ask for the complete tool and machine opening before explaining a route from it.

Marked provisional. Machine contact has the opening; supplier still owes the full tool drawing.

Make sure the contact supplies the actual working door position. I've seen a catalogue opening carried through three revisions because everyone thought somebody else had measured the installed machine.

Installed door measured. Full tool now overlaps its handle on approach. Supplier is revising the proposal.

Keep that failed approach visible beside the revision. The tutor can explain why the first sketch was incomplete without implying that any new drawing is automatically the answer.

Has the revision arrived, Kieran? I'd want the setter's fixture-change space shown in it too. A stand moved out of the tool's way can land in somebody else's working space.
