our fr10 faceplate reference has been cropped past the locating edge

The physical faceplates have quality decisions now, including an accepted bright band. But our FR10 comparison folder contains crops that hide the locating edge, and the full images show different seating. I'd like to settle the presentation before anyone tunes against those crops. What would you ask the loader to show?

Which edge moves between the full views?

The lower locating edge. One image shows it against the stop, another leaves a visible gap. Same plate ID and holder, though the crops make both look centred.

Can the loader see that gap without the camera?

Please keep the full view beside the crop in the handover material, because someone receiving only the attractive middle of the plate cannot learn how the part is supposed to sit.

Amara, agreed, but don't turn an ambiguous photograph into the loading instruction. Tooling needs to settle the actual seat first, then the teaching pictures can show it.

Anika, the loader cannot see the lower gap from the normal position. Luis, the intended seat is on the drawing, but its confirmation is poor. Tooling is reviewing that distinction with the loader.

That's familiar. Our hidden stop made a plausible-looking placement hard to verify too.

Luis, yes, I meant retain the evidence while they sort the holder, not teach either of these pictures as correct; thanks for catching the ambiguity.

Any damage or debris at that stop?

Maintenance found a trapped label backing at the lower stop. The faceplate could rest on it and look settled from above. They've removed it and checked the locating surfaces against the current holder drawing.

Where did the backing come from? Otherwise the nice new instruction may inherit the same obstruction.

Sample identification was being done over the empty holder. Loose backings went into its recess. We've moved that task off the holder and retained the physical sample IDs; no relabelling surfaces used for inspection.

Can the loader now tell it's seated?

Anil's question is worth keeping separate from removing the backing; a clean holder can still be awkward to check, even when the immediate obstruction has gone.

Could a clear view of the stop solve that without changing the locating faces?

Tooling provided a checked viewing aid without changing the locating faces. The regular loader repeated the identified samples and could confirm contact; the full captures no longer show that lower gap. Quality is checking the resulting image comparisons.

One further point: the accepted bright band remains visible in the corrected presentation. Removing the seating fault did not turn it into a defect, or make the real faint mark easy to distinguish.

Then keep both in the next teaching set. Thanks for reporting the remaining difficulty, not just the pleasing clean-holder result.
