I've put a packed sample on the pallet beside the FR10 layout drawing. Our carton has stiff inserts along two sides, but the alternating layer puts one of those sides over a gap. The drawing only shows the outside box. Who should mark the support needs before we settle the tool access?

The packaging designer should mark them on the loaded-carton drawing; outside dimensions alone omit the load path you are asking about.
17分Packaging marked the insert contact strips. One strip crosses two gaps in the rotated position. They're considering a different first layer instead of adding a sheet.
4分Changing the first layer also changes what supports the layer above it, so review the stack rather than only that one offending carton.

5分Both, together. Give tooling the marked support strips and give packaging the withdrawal space; otherwise each can repair their drawing by breaking the other person's.
