A pocket number and retry. Nothing explains whether retry revisits that pocket or advances.
19分Then I'd be calling you too; has the person who wrote retry actually defined what it does in that case?
20分I wrote it. It revisits, but the displayed pocket number sometimes already shows the next position.
8分Fix that ambiguity before teaching around it. Then use examples for a confirmed empty pocket, a held part and an uncertain part location. The operator needs to know when the procedure applies and when to stop for help.
-2分Our recovery lesson improved when I stopped narrating and let the trainee tell me what the screen meant. Some of their guesses were entirely reasonable and completely wrong.
8分Hana, did they admit the guesses during training or only after getting stuck for real?
9分During training, once I said we were checking the instructions rather than testing them. Before that they kept looking at me for the correct answer.
15分The screen now distinguishes current pocket from next pocket. We are checking interrupted cases before revising the instructions.
11分Give them time away from the packing target for this, because learning recovery while somebody counts the lost minutes is a fine way to make everyone press the familiar button.
2分Are you getting that practice time, Zara?
15分A shift lead should attend too. Otherwise the operator learns to escalate an uncertain case and the person answering the call has missed the same training.
8分Practice time and shift-lead cover agreed. Thank you, Hana; we will use your explain-the-screen exercise.
1分Interested what they make of the two pocket labels now; that's the bit I'd like to hear about after the exercise
