What does the current drawing actually require you to inspect, Liam? I'd want that answered before a supplier picks whichever number makes their proposal look easiest.

Which bracket measurement am I meant to give the fixture supplier?

Released assembly angle. The clamped figure is an old process check.
20分Send the drawing requirement. Include the old checks as background, clearly labelled.
17分Our old sheets included checks after a correction operation without saying so. I'd ask whether your released figure was measured before or after any straightening
15分And do those two figures belong to the same bracket? I got caught reading a batch summary as if it followed one part through the process.
16分Same serial number. Released reading was before correction, according to the inspector.
15分I wouldn't send only the finished drawing and hope they price the awkward bit. Tell them the old process needed correction, with the limits of what you know.
11分That's why I said include the old checks.
18分Fair, I read past that. Your version covers it.
9分Who actually did the correction, Liam? The inspector may know when it was measured without knowing what happened on that bench.
21分A fabricator who's still here. Asked him to join the supplier call.
7分That helped on ours. The person doing it explained the awkward handling as well as the correction, which was missing from the neat little route description
16分He says the gusset fit varied. I hadn't even included fit-up photos in the enquiry.
20分Were the gussets all to the same revision? Not claiming that's the cause, just wondering what varied before welding started.
18分Revision C throughout that run. Quality is checking the incoming measurements. Thanks, Omar, for the correction question.
7分Leave room for the supplier to say the incoming condition needs work before fixture design. Buying more restraint because it sounds decisive would worry me here.
