Our hand-loaded brass sleeves project by different amounts, but the sheet records only projection; before we plan UR5e loading, what measurements would stop us confusing blank variation with seating trouble? Automatic loading is not authorised.
Can you identify each blank and measure its overall length independently? With only projection, a long blank seated correctly and a nominal blank seated badly can produce the same argument.
The original samples were not identified, so I cannot pair lengths to those projections; we can keep individual identities for a new approved manual study.
Which face is projection measured from? I would pin that down now, because two people measuring from convenient edges could manufacture variation before the sleeve even enters the discussion.
Sarah, projection will use the agreed fixture reference face; Nathan, our setter will supervise loading and quality will record the paired measurements and seating observations.
Record the contact condition during the approved checks. Chips or damage need a place on the sheet. Don't let a clean-up between readings disappear from the history.
Length explains some spread in the identified samples, but not all; the setter found inconsistent seating observations too, so quality has kept those cases separate and the loading plan remains unapproved.
