I am reviewing an FR5 changeover using two nearly identical enclosure-cover inserts. One fits the base backwards, and the recipe screen asks only whether the fixture is fitted. How does that establish we have the correct insert facing the correct way?
How is the operator meant to spot this backwards insert?

It doesn't answer either question yet; can the toolmaker key the insert orientation and provide a way to identify the fitted family for comparison with the selected recipe?

Toolmaker has proposed asymmetric location so the insert cannot seat backwards. The family check is still just a label, which does not establish what the controller knows about the installed tooling.
7分What happened to the family check? I'd want the wrong-family and unreadable-identity cases in the acceptance trial, not only the correctly fitted example.

Integrator has proposed reading an insert identity and comparing it with the recipe before starting. We have added wrong family, missing identity and reversed seating attempts to the planned trial; the design is not yet accepted.
