FR10 spacer pickup improved, then the replacement tray missed

I added the locator. A few supervised spacer-unloading runs improved, then a replacement tray missed again. How do I report the improvement without claiming a finished fix?

Can you identify the two trays and the run conditions, including which pocket missed after replacement?

Keep the locator and program revisions with them. A before-and-after account needs to say what else changed.

And report the replacement miss in the opening update, not only as a later comment people may overlook.

Trays identified. Same program after the locator change, miss at an outside pocket on the replacement. Added that limitation to the opening.

Compare the tray-to-locator contact and pocket positions under the inspection procedure before changing pickups again; same external outline doesn't establish the same seated geometry.

Was the missed pocket visibly offset, or is that still a possibility to inspect?

Still a possibility. The photo shows the miss, not a measured offset. Both trays retained for tooling.

Who can keep the normal tray changeover represented in that inspection? A carefully seated tray may not reproduce what the loader normally does.

Let the regular loader show the seating process too, without turning the inspection into a lesson where they simply copy the designer's hands.

Loader and tooling checked it together. The replacement tray catches on the new locator before reaching its intended support. Original tray doesn't. Tooling is comparing both against the tray drawing.

That suggests an interface problem, but keep the drawing comparison ahead of deciding which item to alter.

Did the loader believe the caught tray was fully seated?

Yes. It felt stopped, which they took as seated. The tray is within the specified edge geometry; the locator proposal had assumed a sharper clearance at that edge.

Then the intended acceptance range matters to the redesign. Do not just clear this one retained tray and forget the rest of the permitted geometry.

And the loading check needs to distinguish the intended support from simply meeting a stop, once tooling has a reviewed arrangement.

Tooling has withdrawn that locator detail and proposed clearance covering the drawing's allowed edge geometry. The first improvement remains real for the original tray; it never proved this range.

Good reason to retain both trays for the next supervised comparison, including the one that originally behaved well.

Has the revised locator been made yet, or is this still the drawing proposal?

And who reviews any pickup adjustments before that comparison? I would keep the program unchanged unless the responsible person approves a reason to change it.

Revised locator made and statically checked with both retained trays; they now reach the intended support. Integrator retained the reviewed program for the next supervised comparison. No run result from the revision yet.
