I put our sensor-cover insert in backwards during a bench review. It still appeared to seat. The other family insert looks almost identical too. We are planning UR5e loading and already have recipe names, but I cannot see how the system would know which physical insert I had fitted. A bigger label will not answer that.
Make the physical mistake harder first. If the insert really seats backwards, ask the fixture designer about that before making the recipe screen carry the whole burden.
Did it fully seat, Beth, or just look seated? We have a teaching insert that can sit on its edge and look fine from the front. Quite a convincing little liar.
Jonas, it was flat on the support face. The fixing holes lined up too. I took it back out after the check. Daniel, the designer is looking at a keyed version, but that would not identify the family on its own.
Try the two family inserts against the proposed key before ordering them. Sorry, proposed key arrangement, not new inserts. A key shared by both families could solve backwards and leave wrong-family untouched.
Oscar, she has already spotted that distinction. Beth, I would want the handover to show a wrong-family attempt, not just the intended insert making the screen happy.
Kai, our integrator owns the match in the application. We agreed two separate checks with them and the fixture designer: the insert must fit correctly, and its identified family must match the selected recipe. No handwritten family number typed by the loader.
Good. Handwritten numbers are how I became the proud owner of two different 'insert 6' labels. Neither person writing them was wrong within their own cupboard.
The revised fixture sample now refuses the reversed insert. The family check is not finished yet. I can call the backwards-fit issue fixed, but we are keeping both inserts out of automated use until the matching check has been tried.
