The polished cover changes its alleged scratch when it is reseated

Our FR10 image folder has two views of the same polished cover labelled with scratches in different places, and nobody has yet matched either label to a physical mark. I want the handover to include a reference somebody can actually inspect, rather than inherit the folder's confidence.

Is the cover still around? Hard to settle a wandering scratch from two pictures and a confident filename.

Yes, in our sample drawer, with its identity intact. I have asked quality to inspect it alongside the full images.

Who applied those scratch labels?

Bring that person into the comparison too, because replacing the labels once will not help if the same bright patch gets called a scratch in the next batch.

Our project assistant applied them from the images. Quality has accepted the physical cover and supplied a rejected comparison piece; the assistant is joining the review, thanks Hassan.

Does the rejected piece keep its real mark visible when reseated, Bruno? A calmer-looking picture isn't much use if it hides that too.

And who keeps those two pieces after the review?

Robin, that comparison has not been completed. Fiona, quality will hold both identified pieces with the viewing notes; the images with unverified scratch labels are excluded from tuning while we review presentation.
