Not asking them to explain the whole robot, just this assembly. What should a useful answer actually contain?
They've finally sent a separate drawing for the plate. It identifies an extension assembly supplied with our order. That explains why searching the robot guide got me nowhere, though I still can't find the extension's installation instructions.
Named technical contact has sent the matching instructions and confirmed the supplied assembly identity. Our installer now has the full set to review. I'm relieved to have an actual answer, not quite at the point of connecting anything yet.
