The FR5 pouch motion works, the presentation job keeps expanding

I can demonstrate the refill transfer cleanly after preparing the pouches. Each changed shape then adds another guide, sorting rule or manual touch. I want to compare the complete packing task with the manual bench before calling another successful motion a reason to continue

What preparation did the ordinary operator do in the last comparison? Not the demonstrator with a tray full of cooperative pouches. The normal mixed delivery is the job you would be maintaining.

Operator sorted the shapes and straightened each pouch before putting it in a guide. That preparation was longer than direct tray filling for the mixed order. One repeat shape was less demanding; we haven't measured it separately.

A restricted job for that repeat shape might be worth comparing, but only if it arrives in useful quantities without somebody manufacturing a separate batch for the robot. Who would feed it, and what else does that person stop doing?

Measured the repeat shape as it actually arrives. Its longer orders leave a small potential benefit, but our proposed feeder also covers inspection. Production has not agreed that split. Mixed orders are back on the manual route; no more guides ordered for them.

Does the restricted option include its changeover from the manual work? It can look better when the operator somehow starts with everything already in the right place.

And keep the inspection overlap in the decision, Chloe. The remaining benefit may be real, but the same person's time cannot pay for both jobs simultaneously. A restricted proposal still needs an owner who can actually run it.
