Our FR10 panel report begins with one sheet already separated

The vacuum tool held the enclosure panel in the supplier's bench test. Then I noticed the test begins with one panel laid out by hand, while our actual supply is stacked. I'd like separation, support and single-panel confirmation included before anyone calls this a transfer trial.

We had two thin sheets arrive together under a perfectly happy vacuum indication. The tool had a seal; the process did not know how many sheets it had. Ask the supplier to demonstrate separation from your actual stack and an explained check for no panel, one panel and an unwanted second panel.

Does their offer include stack preparation, or only the vacuum head?

Leah, did you end up separating sheets manually for that job or adding automated separation?

Manual preparation into a single-sheet pickup position for that trial. It let us investigate the transfer, but we counted the preparation work instead of presenting it as an automated stack solution. The production choice remained a separate question.

Beth, is the objective to remove the stack-handling work as well as the transfer, or could a prepared single-panel feed still meet the requirement?

Liam, the offer prices the head and transfer integration, with stack preparation unspecified. Rosa, we wanted less manual handling overall, but haven't said that clearly enough to distinguish a prepared feed from automatic separation.

Who will compare those two complete methods?

Bring the operator into that comparison. A prepared feed might help, or it might just move the awkward work to a new bench. Our first sketch gave the robot a lovely pickup and gave the person all the difficult edges.

Can the supplier show how the far corners are supported during the full transfer too, Beth, rather than only the patch under the cups?

The current clip crops off two corners and ends before release. I've asked for the whole panel through the intended motion into our nest. Our production lead will compare the two feed methods with the operator and tooling team.

Include the material between panels in that scope if your supply uses any; our packing plan once omitted the interleaves because they were absent from the attractive demonstration stack.

And who handles an uncertain panel count?

Rosa, were the interleaves an extra automatic step in your eventual proposal or part of the manual preparation?

Manual preparation in the version we priced, with disposal included; the automatic alternative remained a separate, larger scope rather than an assumed feature of the pickup head.

Liam, that response needs agreeing for Beth's package. An uncertain count should not be treated as a single panel just because the vacuum reading is acceptable. The operator also needs a workable recovery arrangement.

We receive some stacks with interleaves, Rosa. They are now in both method descriptions. Tooling is proposing a count check and recovery arrangement for review, not one already tested. The operator wants the prepared-feed handling assessed before we rule it out.

Will that comparison include a whole order and clearing the preparation area?

BE
BethBrooks0846

Yes, preparation, transfer, interruptions and clearing. Thanks, Leah, your single-sheet example helped us explain what a limited trial can answer. We have two defined proposals to request now; neither feed method is selected.

Keep release in the requested demonstration too. It is easy to get absorbed in picking exactly one panel and forget that it still has to reach the nest without a person peeling it off the tool.

And the corner-support question remains whichever feed method wins; manual separation does not change what the tool must support during its transfer.
