I'm considering a used UR5e for polymer-puck handling. The seller's equipment list includes backups, but the folder they've shared is empty. Should that stop an inspection visit or just change what I ask for?
I meant machine configuration, not the previous owner's process. Thanks, that wording was loose. The seller hasn't said whether the advertised backup exists anywhere else.
Give the inspector the exact equipment list and that question before booking. They can tell you what they can verify and what needs seller or manufacturer support.
We paid for a visit before asking whether the controller shown was included, and that wasted everyone's time; settle the offered package and missing records in writing first.
The seller confirms the pictured controller is included. They now say 'backups available' was standard listing text, not a checked item. I'm a bit less keen.
Then ask them to correct the list before any inspection is commissioned; otherwise you are paying someone to assess a package whose description is still unreliable.
They'll first review the identification and records remotely. We've postponed the visit until that review and a corrected equipment list. Haven't ruled it out, but no collection booked.
