another carton pattern with nothing drawn underneath

Our UR5e proposal has the same snag as a separate FR5 review I posted: rotated cartons neatly arranged, support gaps invisible. I want one view that packaging and tooling can both argue over.

Layer overlay. Carton support areas, lower cartons, pallet deck, tool clearance. Same revision for both teams.

That is the view I meant. The current sheets put each layer on an empty pallet outline, which makes every box look well supported.

Have packaging actually specified the support areas for these packed cartons, Thomas? A preferred direction on the label might be part of the answer, but I would not let the tool designer invent the rest from it.

Agreed. My list names what the drawing needs, not who is qualified to supply every detail.

Fair enough, Beth. I asked because our own drawing is missing the underneath view too, and people keep treating another layer diagram as an answer.

An overlay found the trouble on our earlier review. A lower-count option then looked sensible, but planning still had to compare the extra pallets. I mean fewer cartons, not thinner lines on the same sketch.

And tool withdrawal on the last carton. Easy to leave that check out when the lower-count pattern looks spacious.

We included that in ours. Thanks for raising it here though; spacious was exactly the word that nearly ended the discussion early.
