FR5 access decision missing the open door and loaded gripper

Our brass-blank loading sketch reaches the fixture but omits the gripper body and open machine door. I cannot choose the FR5 from that. What would establish access through the installed opening, including the service routing rather than only the nominal pickup point?

Installed geometry first. Tool assembly, blank orientation, door at its actual operating position. Put the unknown dimensions on the drawing instead of quietly borrowing them from a catalogue picture.

The machine drawing is generic. The gripper quote specifies a body but leaves the fingers to application design, so neither side presently defines the opening clearance.

Can the machine lead measure the door condition before the toolmaker fixes the fingers?

That ordering makes sense. Although the final check still needs both; an opening measurement alone cannot establish the loaded route.

And I would involve the setter while access is being defined, because a robot that fits the cycle can still occupy the place needed for clearing or changing the fixture.

Pavel, include the park position in that discussion. We have all seen a beautiful cycle view with the inconvenient people missing.

Does the setter currently remove the fixture from the front?

Or use the side for tools? I do not know Naomi's machine, so I would avoid drawing their access from ours.

Front removal, Priya. Side access is for service, Anil, not our normal fixture change. Both are on the survey request, with the machine lead supplying the door and fixture geometry.

Who is combining the toolmaker's assembly and the machine survey into one review, rather than leaving you to discover the mismatch after two separate approvals?

Our integrator owns the combined review. The setter is reviewing the fixture-change condition separately from the automatic sequence, against that same layout.

Ask for intermediate positions too. Not a picture at the pickup and another outside the machine with the unpleasant journey between them left to your imagination.

Combined model is back. With the surveyed door position, the proposed gripper body intersects the door edge during loaded withdrawal. The pickup pose itself clears, which explains why the original sketch looked convincing.

Have they proposed a different tool or a different robot position?

A shorter adapter is proposed. It is not selected; the toolmaker must confirm the assembly and the integrator must reassess the complete approach and exit.

I would keep the rejected assembly reference in the purchasing file, so its apparently complete quote does not survive after its route has failed.

Does shorter leave enough access to the tool connections? A dimensional saving could move the awkward bit somewhere else.

And the load assessment belongs to the revised assembly. Shorter is a proposal, not a substitute for the toolmaker's actual design information.

Both questions remain on the revised-assembly review. We have ruled out the quoted arrangement, not established that the FR5 cannot do the job. No arm selection yet.
