Can't choose the FR5 position from this finished-blank sketch

I'm buying for another unloading proposal and the FR5 sketch gets our polymer blank out of the fixture but leaves the gripper off, with the open door taking up the space where I think the wrist would go; what do I need before accepting a base position?

Ask for the loaded gripper, adapter and actual open door in one drawing, then have the integrator show withdrawal as well as the final pose

They have added the fingers but not the adapter, which is listed as supplied to suit, so I still cannot tell where the wrist ends up.

Supplied to suit needs a proposed shape before this choice can move on. Is someone actually designing that adapter, or is each supplier expecting the other to?

Gripper supplier thought the integrator was doing it, integrator thought it came with the fingers; they have now agreed the integrator will provide the first assembly drawing.

Classic. Is that drawing included in your price?

And can you still change the fixture with that base there? Ours looked fine until the setter brought the lifting aid round.

Rebecca, the design is included but manufacture was provisional; Zara, I have asked the setter to check the changeover space before we settle the position.

Don't settle it from a single side view. We had a tidy-looking unloading line that ignored the door handle sticking towards the tool. Actual hardware is annoyingly three-dimensional.

The fuller drawing shows a clash at the door handle, Lin, and the integrator has offered a farther base position or a different approach with the same base, both still being reviewed.

Farther where? Towards a cabinet somebody opens?

Compare both proposals with the complete tool, not the farther base with the old bare-blank sketch. Did the approach change also alter finger shape?

Anika, same fingers and adapter in both proposals; Rebecca, farther along the machine side, where the electrical cabinet opens, so maintenance has that option to check.

I'd keep the original base in contention then. Moving it sounds simple until everyone else's access moves with it. No preference on the robot motion, that's for your integrator.

The original position can still be the worse option. Different approach might need more room inside the machine, so price both after somebody has checked the whole route.

That is what I've requested, Lin; the revised approach needs checking past a fixture clamp, and the other position needs cabinet and setter access, neither has been accepted.

Any news from the setter? That's the bit I'd like to hear about.

Does the farther option leave room to remove the cabinet panel too?

Rebecca's panel question belongs on the maintenance review. An open door can fit while the panel removal job still has nowhere to go

Zara, the setter can change the fixture at the original position; Rebecca and Anika, maintenance ruled out the farther proposal because panel removal space is lost, so the changed approach is still under review.

Useful result, even without an arm decision. Has the integrator returned the clamp-clearance check for the remaining approach?
