The FR10 moves the bags but I keep rebuilding the presentation

I've put a lot into our FR10 bag-to-carton setup, starting with 92 filled sample bags. The motion is working, but another bag shape means another round of presentation work, and the products keep changing. I'm attached to what I've built and struggling to decide how much ongoing attention this process deserves.

Separate the working transfer from the work required to feed it. Your effort is real. It does not tell you whether the next bag change is worth accepting.

Could somebody else handle the next change from your notes?

Not comfortably, Luca. The notes cover the current bag, but most of the presentation decisions are still mine. I don't want to call that operator reluctance when I haven't given them a repeatable changeover.

Then the comparison needs a support allowance. Include your preparation time and someone else's learning time, but keep them separate. A one-off handover cost is different from adjustment every time the product changes.

Thomas, would restricting it to the established bag avoid scrapping useful work?

Possibly. It would need enough work of that shape to justify keeping the setup available. Restricting its scope is a sensible option to cost, not evidence that keeping it will pay.

I've stopped adding new bag shapes for now, and we're recording the preparation alongside the transfer. That feels less like a verdict on all the effort, which helps. The established shape stays under review while we work out who could actually support it.

Thanks for coming back. Interested whether that narrower job survives the support review.
