Has the setter seen it? Other side is doing a lot of work there.

Why is the FR5 base standing where we change the fixture?

He has. He says he cannot bring the lifting trolley alongside from that side, but the designer's drawing shows a fixture floating into place without the trolley.
18分Can they include the trolley model? A plain measured outline would do for the first comparison. The fixture does not arrive by itself.
22分Sent an outline with the handle and the fixture in its transport position. The designer is now asking whether we can use a smaller trolley, which feels like the problem changing owners.
17分A different trolley could be a valid option, but the person responsible for that handling method needs to assess it. I would ask why moving the robot base has already been ruled out.
14分Has it been ruled out, or just not drawn?
11分Not drawn. Their first layout was copied from another installation. No one has compared another base position on our machine yet.
8分I'd ask for two rough base options before detailed redesign. Include the full loaded tool on both; an easier trolley route is no use if the arm loses the rear pocket.
20分Keep the cabinet opening in that rough view too. I know, another rectangle. Still cheaper than another surprise.
6分How often does this fixture come out?
18分At most product changes, several times across a normal week. It is not an annual maintenance job we can plan around with half the bay empty.
12分Then fixture handling belongs in the normal workflow comparison. I would also ask the setter what has to be disconnected, because access to the trolley does not guarantee access to those connections.
21分Could the rack beside the bay move? I'm asking about floor space, not proposing you change the fixture handling before anyone checks it.
21分The rack can move, but it stores the next fixture and is filled from the aisle. Stores has suggested a position that keeps that route open; the new robot location still needs checking.
18分Does the proposed tool in that check include the real fingers? You said illustrated tool in the opening and I wondered how settled it was.
22分Body and fingers match the tooling proposal. The cable connector was omitted, though. I've sent its envelope before they check the alternate location.
2分That connector has excellent timing.
20分It is useful that you caught it before the comparison. Ask whoever owns the tool model to keep those service connections in it, so every layout reviewer receives the same assembly.
13分Alternate position now clears the trolley route in the layout, with the connector included. The rear-pocket approach is still under review. Thanks, Aaron, for getting us back to base options.
11分You're welcome. Let the setter try the proposed trolley route on the floor plan before it acquires mounting holes.
