Heading says fixture trial passed. Sales copied that as bracket accepted. Same page has the released failure

Ask them to change the summary. You don't need to prove the fixture useless to point out that the released bracket failed. Those are different claims, and a buyer shouldn't need to hunt underneath the headline to find the awkward one.

Check what the released measurement used as its reference too. I've had a bracket reading taken from the bench while the drawing used the mounting face. A failure entry still needs an intelligible method.

Emma, would you keep the failure visible while that method is being checked? I would not want an unanswered measurement question to revive the original acceptance claim.

Put the gap beside that later number. I wouldn't let anyone turn it into either 'the fixture fixed it' or 'the operator always has to fix it'. You haven't got the route between the two results yet.

For the current proposal, could quality and fabrication agree an observation that follows one identified bracket through fit-up, restraint, release and any further work? That would answer a more useful question than another round of editing the old heading.
