The released part before anybody corrects it, by the sound of it. I'm chasing a similar gap in another folder. Does your final sheet say explicitly that straightening happened first, or is that someone's recollection?

Which bracket readings belong before the straightening step?

Explicit on the traveller: straightened, then inspected. Clamped sheet has only the batch number.
23分Which drawing revision was used for each check? Matching the batch number alone will not establish that the two sheets measured the same requirement.
12分Check the incoming component revisions too. Our bracket review had different gussets hiding under one finished-part number. Old fixture experience gets a lot less transferable when the parts changed.
1分And don't assume the jig check predicts the loose part. A clamp can make a very convincing inspection aid while hiding the thing you need to measure. Which faces were they checking from?
7分Does the old traveller identify which brackets were straightened, or was it a general instruction for the whole batch?
22分Bracket revision D on both sheets. Different reference faces. Traveller says whole batch corrected; no individual part IDs.
22分Who has costed that correction in the new proposal? The old traveller seems fairly clear that somebody did work there, even if nobody has measured what arrived at their bench.
18分I'd bring quality and welding together for a current-part trial, with tooling explaining the intended location. The old paperwork can guide the questions, but I'd be uncomfortable using it to approve a copied correction routine
21分And leave the bench space undecided until somebody knows whether its job survives.
20分Proposal assumes correction disappears. I've asked planning to reopen that line, not price it as zero.
8分Who owns the next measurement plan?
12分Include the person who did the correction. They may recognise the awkward samples.
23分We once found that an old 'hold square' note described fit-up before welding, not an accepted finished angle, so I would have the former operator explain the sequence with the actual sheets rather than rely on those short labels.
10分I'm wary of building the new fixture meeting around the press step. First ask what the current part drawing needs. Otherwise the correction starts dictating new clamps before anyone has understood the distortion.
21分The operator isn't being asked to design the fixture. They're being asked what happened. You need that answer as well as the current drawing.
20分Sarah, did you find actual released readings on yours after that? My folder has plenty of descriptions and very little I can pair to a real bracket.
16分Not in the sheets behind that note; identifying it as fit-up stopped us treating it as a final measurement, but it did not fill the missing released-part data.
22分Quality owns the trial plan, welding and tooling contributing. Former operator invited. Thanks, Caleb, I'd left them off.
24分Will planning get the trial findings as well as the fixture designer? I'd like the labour and space decision to catch up with whatever the measurements say, not remain at the original optimistic version.
