Put the actual carton construction, supporting layer and pallet under the turned row in the shared review. Ask packaging to identify required support and tooling to show insertion and withdrawal on that same arrangement, including the first layer.

FR5 turned cartons sharing their support space with the fingers

The section now shows the conflict. Tooling needs a gap exactly where one turned carton's end needs support. Both reviewers agree the original drawing leaves that unanswered.
11分Has packaging actually asked for an alternating pattern, Aaron? I've seen rotation survive three revisions because it was in the first pretty picture. If there's a stability reason, fine. If not, don't make the tooling solve a habit.
8分And compare the work at the end of the order if a lower-count option is proposed. A simpler layer can be worthwhile, but the spare cartons and extra partial pallet won't manage themselves.
13分Packaging wants an acceptable supported build, not rotation specifically. They have offered an all-same-direction candidate with fewer cartons. Our current packed case and remaining old-stock case have different internal supports.
8分Will the comparison cover those old-stock cases and returned partial pallets, or is the proposed scope restricted to the current case construction?
5分That scope belongs on the teaching drawing as well. I would not want the operator to discover the old-stock exception only when a carton is already waiting at the station.
17分Current construction only for the candidate. Old stock remains on the manual packing route. Dispatch is checking complete and partial orders for the reduced count before we choose it.
5分Rachel's extra-work point can go either way. We had a lower-count arrangement make dispatch less frantic because people stopped rebuilding the awkward last layer by hand. It did use more pallet space. I'd take their actual order mix seriously, not assume fewer cartons automatically means worse work.
-2分Packaging and tooling completed the current-case check, including first-layer support and tool withdrawal. Dispatch's observed partial-order work is acceptable to us despite the lower count. We've selected that arrangement; old-stock cases stay excluded.
6分How will a returned partial be identified to that current-case arrangement? The exclusion needs to survive a pallet leaving and coming back.
1分Dispatch keeps the case construction and build record with each returned partial. Anything unidentifiable stays on the manual review route. The operator instruction includes that exception, not just the repeating layer picture.
