Different label suffix, different mounting arrangement (Universal Robots UR5e)

I ordered Universal Robots UR5e from an unnamed seller in China after they confirmed a configuration against our fixture drawing. The delivered label has a different suffix, and the interface around the tool interface bracket looks different from that drawing. The seller says equivalent but hasn't provided a comparison. I've left our tooling unfitted and waited 8 days for clarification.

Do you have the seller's confirmation, delivered identification label, and fixture drawing available together? Comparing those would identify the discrepancy without assuming what the suffix means.

Yes. Their prepayment reply references our drawing, and the delivered identifier differs. My unpacking photos show the interface difference before we've fitted anything.

Provide those records together and request an interface drawing specific to the configuration you received. Keeping the tooling off preserves the original condition while its compatibility is assessed.

Can I describe this as the wrong revision based on the suffix alone? I'd prefer not to make the dispute depend on an unverified interpretation of the identifier.

A configuration discrepancy is a fair description. State the agreed and delivered identifiers along with the visible interface difference, so the seller can address both directly.

A matching interface drawing would establish that the delivered configuration is compatible with your fixture. Request that document to support the seller's equivalence claim.

@VictorAbbott0011 The interface drawing could address physical fit, but it wouldn't by itself establish compatibility for all connections and application requirements.

@SaraBrooks0809 I overstated what that document would establish. The drawing can help resolve physical fit, while the remaining compatibility questions need assessment against your intended configuration and application.

Is this possibly only a labelling change, despite the visible difference in the interface?

@ElenaChan1123 The suffix's meaning hasn't been established. Whatever its explanation, the seller still needs to account for the visible difference from the confirmed interface drawing.

@VictorAbbott0011 That's the point I keep coming back to. I designed around their confirmed interface, not around a letter on a sticker.
