Which bracket measurement should our new fixture review start from?

I've found the after-correction height, but still no first released reading for our FR5 bracket proposal. What now?

Can the person who made the original checks identify any retained pieces from before correction, rather than having you search the accepted stock for something that looks representative?

Inspector knows of a sample box. Label just says brackets, which is promisingly vague.

Can its contents be linked to the batch and drawing revision under review? A retained piece without that link may not answer your missing measurement.

I'd price a small current-sample check while you search, because this can turn into a long hunt for data nobody recorded

DineshBennett, requested that estimate. Harish, the inspector is checking the box history before we use anything.

Keep the old route useful for what it can tell you too; knowing every batch visited correction still matters to planning, even if the individual before readings are gone.

Has the new fixture designer seen the actual old checking arrangement? I would ask that before deciding the missing number is the only question left.

Not yet, Lucy. Old checking block is stored with inspection. Designer has only the drawing.

Which revision is that drawing, Maya? Earlier you mentioned a proposal, but not whether it uses the same bracket revision as the old records.

Old record and checking-block drawing reference C. Proposed bracket is E. Slot position changed at D.

Have the designer review that change against the checking contacts. Don't ask someone to measure E on the old block merely because it fits there.

Include defining the current measurement setup in that sample-check estimate, otherwise we're pricing a number without agreeing how to obtain it

The box is all corrected samples, inspector confirms. Useful to know, annoying to find nothing untouched.

At least that stops the box being used as before evidence; will the current trial keep individual identities from the first released check onward?

Yes. First release, any correction, then final check under the agreed method. Each piece stays identified.

Is that method agreed now, or part of the trial request? I cannot tell from your last update.

Part of the request, Harish. Wrote that too firmly. Inspection and designer still have to agree it.

Then keep the sample measurement waiting on that agreement. You can still finish the records summary without pretending the new method is ready.

Done. Old history summarised, current method still pending. Thanks DineshAdams for the retained-piece question; it stopped that box becoming our answer by default.
