You can compare provisional positions using a clearly identified tool envelope, but ask who supplied that envelope and what it includes. A base choice made with no allowance for the gripper is barely a comparison at all.
22分They've now offered an estimated outline for the quoted gripper and proposed fingers. No adapter in it, so I've asked for that too.
22分Include the blank at the proposed grip depth, not just the empty tool. Otherwise a convenient change in where the fingers hold it can make one base look better without anyone noticing why.

0分Hold it. Estimated geometry is useful for rejecting an obviously bad position, not for giving the stand maker a finished location and hoping the tool later agrees.
