third pickup correction, same crooked block

Removed insert is gone. We have a stores issue slip but it only says soft finger, no drawing number.

Then get the fitted pair identified by the toolroom. Don't order another one off that slip.

Toolroom says both belong to this tool family. They are checking the individual revisions, not just the family name.

Fair point. I latched onto the replacement because of ours. Still wouldn't trust the family match until the actual pair is checked.

Not in the footage we kept. It looks square in the fixture and tilted after lifting, but the fingers hide the contact while closing.

Thanks, that helps me picture it. Has the toolroom compared the two contact faces yet?

The footage cannot show when the tilt begins if contact is hidden. I would ask maintenance to inspect the fixture seating as well, even though the part looks square from that camera angle.

Nobody's ruled the fixture out. But yes, get it checked while the tooling is being inspected, saves a second stop just to revisit the obvious bits.

One insert is revision A, the other B. Toolroom found a different contact step on B. The loose blocks checked so far meet their drawing, and maintenance found no loose fixture location hardware.

Ask the toolroom which pair was intended. Two matching letters would be reassuring but still need to match the part and tool drawing.

They specified a matched B pair against the current tool drawing. Replacement and supervised checks are still pending. I have not selected a program version yet.
