Our UR5e sleeve twists against one contact during closure

Several pickup edits saved. The sleeve still twists toward one contact during closure, while its source seating looks square.

Compare the identified sleeve before closure and in the fitted contacts. Have maintenance check the contact geometry and mountings against the intended assembly before another point edit.

Existing footage shows the turn begins when the left contact touches. No turn visible before that.

Has the source seating actually been checked, or does it only look square in that camera view? Keep it in the physical comparison even if the left contact is the stronger lead.

Static source check completed with the identified sleeve. It reaches the intended contacts without rocking.

Does retained accepted stock behave like the current sleeves? A moulded part difference can meet the same finger differently, even when both examples sit happily in the source fixture.

Retained and current accepted sleeves show the same twist. Maintenance has both groups for the tool check.

Then compare the left and right contact identities, profiles and how they locate on the fingers. Surface wear is only one possible change in that assembly.

Make room for the receiving check in the repair plan too. Our recent housing comparison got through the restored pickup first, with receiving still to do; a square grip isn't the whole transfer.

Both contact references match the drawing. The left contact can move slightly on its mounting despite the fastener being secure.

What is supposed to stop that rotation?

A locating key behind the contact. Maintenance is checking it against the assembly drawing.

That is worth examining separately from the fastener. A tight screw can hold a part down without restoring the feature that fixes its orientation. I would not describe the contact as correctly fitted just because its reference matches.

Has the key condition been confirmed? Keep the tool unavailable for this job until the service assessment settles that movement.

Key is damaged. Service confirms it no longer locates the contact properly and is quoting the specified repair.

Do they know what damaged it?

Not yet. The service inspection will include the mating features, not only a replacement key.

Fair. Keep cause unknown until there is evidence. The damage explains a loose orientation, but choosing an impact story from memory could send the follow-up in the wrong direction.

Who reviews the accumulated point edits after the repair? I'd have the saved original available, rather than ask the next programmer to reverse-engineer why each correction exists.

Our programmer, with all saved versions. Service repair and complete transfer checks are booked into the plan.

Then leave the current finding as damaged locating key, repair pending. The return check can decide which reviewed point set belongs with the restored assembly.
