A bare housing weight in two complete-tool offers

I'm comparing UR5e tooling for a motor housing, but both offers call it suitable from the housing mass alone; our long fingers and adapter apparently weigh nothing until after purchase.

Ask for the mass and centre of gravity of the whole loaded tool. Include the actual adapter.

One offer now includes the gripper and fingers, but the mounting adapter is still absent from its assembly sheet.

Send it back for completion. Otherwise the review starts from the wrong assembly.

I'd include the intended transfer in the supplier's assessment too. We had a classroom example where everyone could add the masses, but nobody had asked where the load sat or what motion was being proposed. A total on its own was not the whole question.

I've sent the proposed transfer and fixture drawing with the missing-item request. Supplier says the adapter choice may change the offset as well as the mass, which is rather the point.

Who pays for a different adapter if the complete assessment rejects the quoted one?

Settle that before ordering. Also make sure both offers use the same required grip position for the comparison.

No order placed. I've asked both suppliers to confirm the grip position and complete assembly, with any resulting tool changes included in their revised offer; suitability remains open.
