Start with the serviced assembly. Compare its fitted contacts and locating arrangement with the intended tool, using an identified sleeve that previously seated correctly.
Check both identity and how those contacts are seated. Correct replacement references can still be assembled against a damaged or obstructed locating feature.
Could you say which seating feature was checked when they report back? I tend to look at the contact face first and forget what holds it in the right place.
Have the accumulated pickup edits been reviewed against that restored contact position? A mechanical repair should not inherit compensation for the misassembled version.
And did the sleeve stay square through receiving, not only as it left the tray? Thanks for naming the dowel; that makes the inspection order much clearer to me.
Programmer reviewed the edits. Supervised pickup, transfer and receiving checks passed with retained and current accepted sleeves. Service instruction now includes the locating-seat check.
That answers the original change. Keep the incorrect assembly finding with the service note so the next handover does not reduce it to robot needed reteaching.
