Our UR5e sleeve grip went crooked after the fingers were serviced

Pickup edits help briefly. The sleeve now turns during closure, and the first bad run follows finger service. Tray position alone won't explain that.

Start with the serviced assembly. Compare its fitted contacts and locating arrangement with the intended tool, using an identified sleeve that previously seated correctly.

Retained sleeve sits square in the tray and turns as one finger meets it. The service note lists replacement contacts.

Check both identity and how those contacts are seated. Correct replacement references can still be assembled against a damaged or obstructed locating feature.

References match. Maintenance is examining the contact seating and locating parts, with the original job and later edits saved.

Could you say which seating feature was checked when they report back? I tend to look at the contact face first and forget what holds it in the right place.

A locating dowel was not fully seated after service. It held one contact off its mounting face. Maintenance has restored the specified assembly.

Have the accumulated pickup edits been reviewed against that restored contact position? A mechanical repair should not inherit compensation for the misassembled version.

And did the sleeve stay square through receiving, not only as it left the tray? Thanks for naming the dowel; that makes the inspection order much clearer to me.

Programmer reviewed the edits. Supervised pickup, transfer and receiving checks passed with retained and current accepted sleeves. Service instruction now includes the locating-seat check.

That answers the original change. Keep the incorrect assembly finding with the service note so the next handover does not reduce it to robot needed reteaching.
