Our FR10 finger gap steals support from the upper carton

Two end blocks in the packing insert. The case base between them isn't the intended load path. Packaging has the current filled construction available.

Then use that construction in the review, not a solid box model. I'd want the supported areas shown on both layers before anyone claims the pattern works.

Can the fingers release from a different side without losing their required contact?

Tool supplier is checking a shorter-finger option from the other side. That may clear the gap but changes where they hold the carton, so packaging is reviewing it too.

I'd like to know that too. Our dispatch staff don't always have enough cases to finish the pattern, and somebody still has to decide how the incomplete pallet leaves the station.

Only full layers in the drawing. Short orders happen here, so I've added that question for packaging and dispatch. Thanks, Rosa, it was missing from the review list.

Don't make the operator improvise the last layer. Whatever tool wins, incomplete loads need an agreed handling plan as much as the ideal full stack does.

Who handles those short orders now, Aaron? If there's an existing manual route, it might be worth keeping while the automated scope stays narrow.

Dispatch packs them manually today. That route could remain, but their bench is on the footprint of one proposed robot position. So it isn't automatically available afterwards.

That footprint needs comparing too. A kept manual route needs somewhere to happen.

Has dispatch seen the actual base outline, not just the pallet outline?

They have now. They prefer another base position which retains their short-order bench. Integrator is comparing that position with the alternative tool and pallet approach.

Watch the moving goalposts here. Same carton construction, same layer revision, actual tool on each option. Otherwise you'll compare one complete idea with half of another.

Agreed comparison uses carton C, pattern P4 and tool options T2/T3. Packaging has not approved the shorter fingers' contact yet. No purchase release.

Is P4 the version that includes the changed release gap?

Yes, P4 includes it. Previous P3 comments are archived as earlier feedback. The current support and contact questions are both with packaging.

And the short-order bench stays in both current option drawings?

Aaron, did dispatch and packaging agree who handles an incomplete pallet if a full-order run is interrupted? Keeping planned short orders manual doesn't cover that other case.
