Can't compare these FR10 offers while tray filling is missing

I'm costing a boxed-kit loading cell and the cheaper FR10 offer assumes someone presents every box neatly. Our boxes arrive mixed in returnable trays. Where do you put that work in a fair comparison?

Against the cheaper offer. Labour, space and any presentation fixtures it needs. Has the other supplier included those?

They've included a presentation fixture, but not filling it. So both offers start after the awkward bit, just with different kit in the picture.

Then give both the same incoming condition. Include empty-tray removal too.

I've added that. Stores already clears the returns at the manual station; I'll check whether the proposed layout blocks that route.

Also ask who resets the fixture for the next box size. Tool-free adjustment can still take someone's time.

Have you timed someone filling one of those proposed fixtures by hand, Alex, because that might answer the expensive question before either supplier redraws the cell?

Not yet. We can compare a mock-up with the manual station using the same incoming boxes. Need to include the empty returns, as Beth said.

Did the comparison. Sorting and presenting take most of the handling time, so we've asked both suppliers to price that part explicitly. I'm not selecting an arm from the transfer time alone.

What did stores say about the return-tray route?
