Can that proposed turning be undone within a defined handling route while still meeting the receiving orientation, or does it depend on the packer doing another unpriced task?

Ask for the whole proposed sequence before another trial. A side pickup may be worth considering, but the supplier needs to show how your case arrives and leaves, not just where the cup seals.

Their sequence includes manual turning before pickup and again after release. Nobody included those two tasks in the original quote. We asked for them to be priced against the current packing job.

That makes it a different complete option to compare. Keep the original top-pick proposal open only if they can address the actual seam conditions, not as the same tool with the awkward case turned away

Packing's whole-order check rules out the double-turn route for our staffing. Supplier is considering another top-pick arrangement with the original case orientation. No revised tool drawing yet.

Only looking at it so far. Our samples are there, including the overlap extremes. The rejected manual-turn route stays in the comparison with its labour, not as a ready fallback.

Did packing define which incoming variation is acceptable before selecting those extremes? The eventual tool requirement should cover normal supplied cases, not silently depend on a new screening job.
