FR5 monitor stalls between read finished and log saved

Detailed logging made our separate FR5 monitoring laptop worse. The last timing note says read finished; log saved appears much later, and no new read starts between them. I want the maintainer to time response handling, writing and drawing separately before we blame the network. Cell controls aren't using this laptop's display.
