These terms cover your use of Application Robot, its forum, reviews, comparisons and guides. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy and community guidelines. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean the people administering this website.
1. About Application Robot
Application Robot is a robotics forum and information website covering robot selection, programming, integration, end effectors, reviews and purchasing. These terms apply to the forum, guides, comparisons and other website features. The website does not sell robots, take payment for them or act as a party to purchases arranged elsewhere.
This is an international community. Information shared by a member in one country may not apply to a purchase or installation elsewhere. These terms do not require every visitor to be governed exclusively by one country's law or remove mandatory protections that apply to you.
2. Accounts and access
You need an account and a confirmed email address to post, reply or upload images. Use an email address you control, protect your password and do not impersonate another person. You may use a display name instead of your real name. Do not share account credentials or use additional accounts to evade moderation, manipulate votes or create a false impression of independent support. If you suspect unauthorised access, change your password using the account recovery process.
By creating an account or contributing, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not register or contribute. Participation in this website is intended for adults aged 18 or over.
3. Responsible participation
- Keep contributions relevant, lawful and respectful. No harassment, threats, hate, spam or scams. Debate ideas and products without attacking people or organising harassment of a seller or member.
- Separate facts from opinions, qualify uncertain claims and disclose supplier, employment, affiliate or sponsorship interests.
- Only upload material you own or have permission to share. Credit sources; a link does not itself grant permission to copy an image.
- Remove personal addresses, payment details, tracking labels, credentials and confidential documents before posting.
- Do not bypass security, access another account, overload the service or distribute malware. Do not encourage unsafe robot operation or publish instructions intended to defeat protective safeguards.
4. Reviews, recommendations and commercial interests
Be clear about whether you have used a product yourself, are quoting a source or are asking a question. Do not invent ownership, purchases, qualifications or results, or present someone else's experience as your own. Identify estimates and opinions, link to relevant sources and correct significant errors when you become aware of them. Publication does not mean we have verified a contributor's identity, purchase history or claims.
Suppliers, integrators and other industry participants must disclose their connection when discussing products or services in which they have an interest. Clearly identify paid promotions, affiliate links, free review products and other incentives. Do not post disguised advertising, repetitive promotions or unsolicited sales messages.
When describing non-delivery, faults or a dispute, give a fair, factual account of what happened and distinguish concerns from proven findings. Do not make allegations you know are false or publish private correspondence without the necessary rights. Redact personal and payment details from supporting evidence. A forum complaint alone is not proof of misconduct by a seller.
5. Your contributions and images
You keep ownership of your contributions. By submitting them, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to store, reproduce, format and display them to operate this website, including reasonable backups and moderation. This does not transfer ownership or give us permission to sell your work for unrelated use.
Public posts, replies and images can be viewed, linked to or copied by others. Public pages and images may appear in search engines; excluding a page from indexing does not make it private. Review uploads for embedded location, date and device metadata as well as visible personal information before sharing them.
Publicly accessible images are not automatically free to reuse. Follow the relevant licence, attribution requirements and permissions when sharing photographs, diagrams, screenshots, software or manuals. Link to a source instead of uploading a copy when you lack permission or another lawful basis to reproduce it.
You can unpublish your posts and hide your replies using the available account controls. Hiding is not permanent erasure; contact the administrator about removal of stored records or images. Copies in other people's replies or downloads may need separate attention.
6. Reporting, moderation and closed discussions
Use a contribution's Report link to flag abuse, privacy concerns, copyright issues or misleading claims. We may hide or remove content or restrict access where reasonably necessary to enforce these terms, protect users or meet legal obligations. Action should be proportionate to the issue, including its seriousness and whether it is repeated. Urgent safety, privacy or security concerns may require action without advance notice.
Include the relevant contribution and a concise explanation in a report; for copyright concerns, identify the work and your connection to the rights holder. Reports require a signed-in account. Do not include passwords, identity documents or payment details. To request review of a moderation decision, identify the affected contribution and explain why you believe the decision was mistaken in a report where that option remains available. Do not evade a restriction by creating another account.
Discussions close to new replies after six calendar months without activity. Closure does not delete the discussion. Start a relevant new topic if you have a new question. Moderation is not a guarantee that every contribution has been checked.
7. Robot safety and technical information
Guides, comparisons and discussions provide general information, not an engineering approval, safety assessment or personalised legal or financial advice. Check the exact hardware, firmware, documentation, payload, tooling and operating conditions with the manufacturer and a competent integrator. Never use a forum answer as a substitute for risk assessment, training or protective measures.
A robot described as collaborative is not automatically safe in every application. Tooling, workpieces, motion, surrounding equipment and the whole installation affect risk. Validate code, wiring and example settings before use, follow the manufacturer's instructions and use appropriately qualified people for commissioning and safety work. Do not rely on the forum for emergency assistance.
8. Buying robots and third-party links
Prices, availability and specifications can change. External links are references, not endorsements or guarantees. Check a seller's identity, quotation, delivery terms, payment protections and warranty independently, including import costs, local requirements and after-sales support. Purchase disputes should be raised with the seller, marketplace or payment provider involved, without limiting your legal remedies. We cannot promise refunds or deliveries and do not provide escrow, buyer protection or seller verification. External websites have their own terms and privacy practices.
For cross-border purchases, confirm the destination country, currency, taxes, customs responsibilities, delivery terms, local electrical requirements, applicable product approvals and where warranty service is available. A product's approval or availability in one market does not establish suitability or compliance in another. Get qualified local advice where necessary.
9. Accounts, availability and responsibility
You may stop using the website at any time. Hiding contributions or signing out does not delete your account or all stored records; see our Privacy Policy for information about personal data and deletion requests. Restrictions on an account do not remove your applicable data protection rights.
Features may change and access may be interrupted by maintenance, faults or security work. Keep your own copy of anything important. We do not promise uninterrupted access or that every post is accurate, but these terms do not remove any responsibility the law places on us.
Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your mandatory consumer rights and access to the courts are unaffected.
10. Changes and related policies
We will show the date of any revision on this page and draw material changes affecting participation to users' attention before they take effect where practicable. Revisions do not retrospectively remove rights you already have. If you do not accept revised participation terms, stop contributing. The community guidelines explain posting standards and the Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled. Acceptance of these terms is not consent to optional marketing or tracking.
