A working FR10 laptop with no setup notes

We can collect diagnostic status from our FR10 using the borrowed maintenance laptop, but our own laptop reaches the address only intermittently and never completes the read-only status request. Both were tested on the same bench connection, though I cannot yet establish whether their network settings or software versions agree. I need to return the borrowed machine soon. Which observations would make a useful comparison for our network administrator, without treating the successful laptop as a mysterious configuration we simply copy?
