I've spent an afternoon in a UR5e machine-interface meeting where everybody agrees the machine sends ready. Wonderful. Machine supplier means request received. Integrator means the loading space is available. Those are clearly different moments.
Every time I point this out, somebody says the other team understands. They don't. I have both definitions in writing now. What would you call the two signals so we can stop agreeing about a word and start agreeing about the sequence? I need an interface both teams can implement, and a night-shift technician can diagnose without replaying this meeting.
How many meanings can one ready bit possibly have?
