Another pickup tweak. Are we fixing the wrong thing?

Our UR5e grips the housing crooked again. Three point changes already. What should maintenance look at first?

Check tool seating, finger condition and tray location under the maintenance isolation procedure first.

They found one worn pad. Could that explain why it leans only after closing?

It could contribute. Compare the contact and seating; don't diagnose it from wear alone.

Fair enough. They're checking the pad pair and how the housing sits before gripping.

Save the current teaching data before changes. You'll need to untangle those earlier compensations.

Have a look at the housing itself too. We blamed a gripper for parts leaning and eventually found a batch with flash on the seating edge. Not saying that's yours, just don't grant the part immunity.

Yes, compare identified parts and trays. Same appearance doesn't guarantee the same seating.

New pads helped. One tray still causes leaning, so that's out for checking. No fourth tweak yet.

That narrows it down. Keep the tray identity with the observed miss, not just 'pickup failed'.
