They found one worn pad. Could that explain why it leans only after closing?

Fair enough. They're checking the pad pair and how the housing sits before gripping.
7分Save the current teaching data before changes. You'll need to untangle those earlier compensations.
13分Have a look at the housing itself too. We blamed a gripper for parts leaning and eventually found a batch with flash on the seating edge. Not saying that's yours, just don't grant the part immunity.

New pads helped. One tray still causes leaning, so that's out for checking. No fourth tweak yet.
7分That narrows it down. Keep the tray identity with the observed miss, not just 'pickup failed'.
