Get inspection to judge the retained pieces before anyone tunes a threshold to those labels, because right now your exercise is teaching people to agree with filenames.
our bezel lesson calls the same bright patch two different defects

The retained set is with inspection. I have taken those pictures out of the acceptance exercise, though we can still use them to explain why presentation matters.
11 pointsDoes the set include faint actual damage, or only the conspicuous bright patches that attracted attention?
9 pointsAnd ordinary acceptable finish variation, Caleb; a box chosen because every piece looked suspicious may be a rather peculiar picture of the normal work
16 pointsAnika, yes, but I would keep the disputed pieces too, otherwise the difficult cases vanish and the demonstration gets better by becoming easier.
10 pointsLuca, there is one faint line we suspect is damage, not confirmed yet. Anika, we have asked inspection for ordinary acceptable examples alongside the disputed ones. Anna, none are being discarded.
13 pointsOn my bezel comparison a reflection crosses a known scratch and hides its end; will yours retain the physical judgement when the line becomes less visible, instead of relabelling that image as a good piece?
10 pointsWho changes the labels after inspection? If the tutor and camera person each edit their own copies, you'll have two truths again by the next lesson.
19 pointsI maintain the teaching set. Inspection supplies the sample decisions and the camera person supplies the setup details. I had not said who combines them; that will be me too.
16 pointsThanks for naming someone. A small set with one owner is easier to trust than three nearly identical folders
5 pointsCan the camera person send new images without overwriting the old ones? You'll want to know which setup produced each view, even after the sample decision is settled.
17 pointsYes. New views get their own setup entry. Inspection has confirmed the faint line as damage and one bright patch as acceptable finish. Several other pieces are still undecided.
21 pointsLeave the undecided ones undecided, then; a deadline for the lesson is not a measurement of the bezel.
4 pointsAnna, they can still make a useful discussion example, provided nobody scores a learner wrong for sharing inspection's uncertainty
8 pointsWill another tutor try the revised comparison without you identifying the faint scratch for them?
