I want the PLC request to remain identifiable until the application receives it, because our brief pulse can disappear while the application is busy. Both authors agree about attempt identity, but neither note says who clears which state. What should they settle before rewriting this ordinary job exchange?
Name the producer and consumer of each state, what receipt means, and the clearing event for that same attempt; timeout and restart need an answer too, not just a longer pulse.
They have agreed that receipt means the application retained the request, not that the plate passed inspection. Clearing and restart cases are still being drafted together. I have asked them to include a receipt arriving after the waiting screen has timed out.
