The refurbished FR10 price is clear; its inspection scope is not

I am considering a refurbished FR10 for rigid-spacer tray-to-fixture transfer. The listing says inspected without showing the scope. Before I pay for collection, which records would make an independent inspection worth arranging?

First establish which arm, controller and accessories the inspection would cover. Inspecting an unspecified package wastes a visit.

And an inspection of condition won't establish that your spacer process is ready to run.

I'd still price the visit while asking for records. Cheap equipment can disappear quickly, but that doesn't mean booking a lorry on the seller's adjective. Can you get an inspector's scope and fee without committing to the collection?

Pricing a visit is fine. I object to sending someone without knowing what they are inspecting.

I can request a quotation for inspection. I have asked the seller for package identities, the dated inspection report, known faults and included items. No payment or collection booking made.

Let the inspector review that answer before fixing their scope. Missing records may change what is feasible.

The seller says there is no report to send and will not provide controller identification before collection. I have declined the purchase. That uncertainty would have remained even after paying transport.

Did you incur the inspection fee, or was that still a quotation? I ask because that's the bit I'd want settled before walking away from the correspondence.

Only an enquiry; no inspection booked and no charge agreed. Thank you for separating that from collection. I could investigate the cost without committing to move the machine.
