Equivalent apparently, except the FR5 adapter does not match our drawing

I ordered after the seller in China confirmed our fixture drawing, now the FR5 label has another suffix and the alignment adapter looks different, so the tooling is still unfitted after eleven days of 'equivalent' with nothing showing equivalent how.

I would push back on the missing comparison, not the suffix by itself. A label change could be harmless. The adapter is where they need to explain what was supplied against what they confirmed.

Callum, a harmless suffix still needs identifying. Otherwise the comparison could describe another unit. Luca, have they acknowledged your delivered label?

I'd also keep the commercial question separate from whether somebody can make it fit. We had an order discussion drift into workshop modifications before anyone agreed who had supplied the wrong thing.

Felix, yes, they've repeated our delivered suffix in the email; Alex, no modifications here, and I've sent the confirmed drawing back with the visible adapter difference circled rather than another photograph of the whole arm.

Did their confirmation identify the adapter revision, or only the fixture drawing?

Felix, agreed on identifying it. I meant that Luca doesn't need to prove the suffix is inherently wrong before the seller answers for the interface they confirmed.

Daniel, it names our fixture drawing revision, not their adapter revision; they've now sent an overlay and the locating register is a different diameter, which is a much better explanation than equivalent.

That is a specific mismatch. Does their proposed remedy restore the confirmed interface, or are they offering to alter your fixture instead?

They offered either a replacement adapter or a contribution towards fixture changes; purchasing chose the adapter, and it arrived with the drawing they've now tied to our order, so it's with our tooling person for the dimensional check.

Keep the check result with that drawing. Arrival alone doesn't settle the interface, though it finally gives you something useful to compare.

Tooling checked the replacement register and fixing pattern against the confirmed fixture interface and they match; the wrong adapter is set aside for the agreed return, and the supply mismatch is closed without us reworking the fixture.
