Cannot choose another UR5e sleeve offset while the fitted pads are unidentified

Our sleeve pickup has three saved versions and a crooked grip. Fitted pads have no clear identity. What should maintenance establish first?

Preserve the actual fitted pair and pickup versions, then have maintenance compare the pads, fingers, mounting and tray location with the intended assembly during a properly isolated check.

Fitted pair retained. One pad has a different rear profile from the other. No cause assigned yet.

Were those pads changed together? I ask because our stores once issued two individually correct pieces that did not make the intended pair. Their bags were much more convincing than the assembly.

And can the next person identify them after the bags are gone? Whatever maintenance finds, the handover needs to describe the fitted pieces, not only the packaging somebody remembers opening.

No reliable fitting record. Both loose pads went into a drawer marked spares. The bags are gone.

Then don't write a neat replacement history to fill the gap. The different profiles are real evidence; which shift installed what is still unknown. You can fix the identification problem without inventing someone to blame.

Compare the actual pad geometry and contacts with the toolmaker's intended pair, while retaining the sleeve and tray positions that show the poor grip; the mismatch may not be the only relevant condition.

Where does the sleeve first lean, Reece? In the pocket, at finger contact, or later in the transfer?

Looks square before contact. First lean is toward the differently shaped pad. Same pocket in both saved clips.

Nina's question helps the loader too. A setup check that only looks at the sleeve after it has tilted arrives rather late. Can they recognise correct seating before the grip starts?

Clara, yes, but don't let a better loading instruction become the whole repair when the fitted pad pair is still unexplained. Both questions need answering.

Toolmaker identifies one pad as an older profile. Intended pair confirmed. Maintenance is correcting the assembly; controls has the saved edits.

Review those edits against the corrected mechanical arrangement before verification, because identifying the wrong pad does not by itself determine which accumulated pickup changes should remain.

Will the comparison cover other circulating trays, not just the one convenient pocket in the clip?

Yes. Identified trays included, plus release. Loader can see the initial seat. Trial still pending.

Any result yet? Interested whether the corrected pair actually stopped that first lean, rather than merely looking more like the drawing.

And has stores separated the old profile, Reece? I'd hate the next changeover to rebuild the same mixed pair after everyone has worked out what happened.

Old profile segregated. First lean absent in the completed comparison; release on the second tray still needs review. Not full handover yet.

Give the covering shift that exact status, including the second-tray release question, so the useful pickup result does not become a claim that every part of the handling is verified.
