My UR5e estimate forgot the person filling the spacer trays

My colleague put an empty tray beside my UR5e estimate and asked who makes it full. Fair question. I priced an arm and gripper for unloading spacers, but the preparation fixtures and our time are guesses. I want a small trial we can judge together, without buying the cell first.

Agree the question together before pricing the trial. It might be whether a prepared-tray route saves worthwhile work over your actual order mix. Include filling, fetching, changeover and the trial's own setup time, not only the robot transfers.

He wants to know whether the trial frees him for the other bench or just moves his work into tray preparation. That's more useful than my original target of a nice uninterrupted run.

Did you observe that current work together? Use one ordinary order, including interruptions. Your colleague's competing bench task should be visible in the comparison rather than treated as spare labour waiting beside the robot.

We did. Preparing and returning trays keeps pulling him off the other bench. We've agreed a priced study of two presentation routes, with his time included and a stopping point if neither improves that conflict. No full-cell purchase.

Have the study quote say who supplies the temporary fixtures and what evidence you receive. That will keep its stopping decision tied to the question you both agreed.
